Established in 1904 in Preußisch Oldendorf, Germany, Dragsbæk Oldendorf combines more than 120 years of expertise in specialty fats with a customer-centric approach and a strong focus on consistent quality, efficiency and flexibility.
Formerly known as Vortella and family-owned by Hamker until joining Dragsbæk in March 2026, the site has built a strong reputation among industrial customers, artisan bakeries and foodservice professionals.
Today, we benefit from a greater network of expertise, scale and excellence in execution, as part of the Dragsbæk Group, strengthening our position in the DACH region and neighbouring countries with a clear ambition to grow and develop the site to a significant supplier of yellow fats to the Central European market.
Name change
Formerly known as VORTELLA Lebensmittelwerk W. Vortmeyer GmbH, Dragsbaek Oldendorf continues operations as usual, although under the Dragsbæk group. Previous links, contact information and e-mail addresses will remain active through 2026.
What we produce
We pride ourselves on mastering a wide portfolio of functional fats and oils ranging from pastry margarines, butter blends, shortenings, liquid margarine and marinade fats for specifically industrial and foodservice customers.
Our portfolio of supply formats covers tubs to buckets, canisters, extruded blocks, Bag-in-Box, IBC containers and Promtainers.

Part of Dragsbæk
Dragsbaek Oldendorf is one of six production sites in the Dragsbæk family. Together we make everything from Danish pastry margarines to plant-based drinks and indulgent ice cream.

system ensures control from raw material sourcing to final delivery. We use verified
oils, free from trans fats, and enrich our products with essential vitamins.
