SHORTENINGS AND FRYING OIL
Dragsbæk shortenings are suitable as dough fat as well as a fat source in cookies, for example. It is a margarine product without water, emulsifiers and additives – simply put, it’s pure fat. Our shortenings are available in both solid and liquid form, they are short in texture and not plasticated, so they are easy to mix into the dough.
Dragsbæk also makes various deep frying and frying products. In this product category, we primarily formulate tailor-made solutions for everything from the fishing industry and commercial kitchens to bakeries and meatball producers and more.
Our high-oleic rapeseed oil (HORO) is a particularly sought-after solution among many of our customers. HORO has the advantage that it can be used to deep fry at higher temperatures than a traditional rapeseed oil, without being harmful or imparting negative flavours. All our deep frying oils are heat-stable, economical to use and have a long shelf life.
High-oleic rapeseed oil is a product we are experiencing an ever-increasing demand for, but we can also supply animal fat mixtures based on, for example, pork or beef fat.
